Full Time Staff
Craig Waters , our founding director, has served the Christian community since college through his church and various local ministries. Most notably, he directed the Big Bend chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship in Tallahassee from 1988-2002. Craig is a graduate from Word of Life Bible Institute and John Brown University . Craig attends Southside Baptist Church in Camilla and resides at the camp facility.

Harold Smith , joined staff in June, 2007 as the assistant director. Harold brings his wife, Cindy, and their six children to Pelham from upstate New York where they operated a dairy farm. The Smith family has been active serving the Lord through their home church, AWANA clubs and various Sunday school classes. Harold and Cindy are active members of First Baptist Church in Pelham and reside at the camp facility.

Bekka Neigh , joined staff September 1, 2010 working with administration and programming. Bekka served with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) and OM in Albania for nine years. Previously she had served with CEF in many capacities, having been raised in a home of life-long CEF missionaries. After spending the last two summers at Camp Charis, the Lord has led her to serve here year-round. Bekka attends Union Grove Baptist Church in Pelham and resides at the camp facility.
