Volunteering to Work at Camp Charis Summer Camps




		Volunteering Work Days Please call ahead so that we can coordinate people and tools with the projects. Lunch will be provided. You may wish to come out on Friday evening and spend the night in one of the wagons. If so, please tell us when you call. Camp Charis is conducted almost exclusively by volunteers. Volunteers come from near and far and range in age from 18 to 70! Workers needed: counselors, activity helpers & leaders, cooks, custodians, lifeguards, teachers, dorm parents, etc. Workers must be at least age 18 by time of camp and are thoroughly screened before participation. All positions require some training or orientation prior to camp. There is a Wee Care program for the under-aged children (birth to age 5) of workers who are at camp. All camp workers reside at camp in staff housing or in the cabins with campers.
